What Causes Palpitations And Fluttering Sensation In The Chest?

I can feel my heartbeat, way more than normal and faster than normal (running at 87 BPM resting rate), I can even hear it sometimes in my left ear. Today, I feel the beat kind of flutter or pause and during that time I feel like I m going to pass out.

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

Your heart rate is in the normal range. The reason could be many for this as simple as some anemia or as severe as some cardiac problem. Palpitations as these are called. If you are female, then anemia is most likely, taking iron tabs would suffice. Get a routine hemoglobin checked. If it's normal, you may get checked by some cardiologist.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi Mahato, General & Family Physician
