What Causes Palpitations And Pain In The Head?

When I carry something 10lbs or so up the step and 40lbs or more on flat ground, I get a throbbing heart beat in my head and it hurts until my pulse slows back down. It comes on sudden and happens each time I m carrying something heavy. I had a MRI done but nothing showed up. Could this happen just from being slightly out of shape?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the head palpitation is in relation with exertion related changes with possible release of stress hormones as epinephrine and others.
* In our clinic, I recommend a gradual work up with type and amount work load to clear the issue without medicines.

Welcome for further doubts.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
