What Causes Palpitations And Tightness In Chest While Taking Alcohol?

my hubby is depressed and has taken to alcohol. He's trying to quit but due to the withdrawal symptom especially palpitation and chest tightness is still drinkinking every hour at least half a bottle of stout. How can i help him stop n get rid of this symptoms. we've young children at home n he's the home carer n it's been very difficult.

You won't be able to help him by yourself. He is dependent on alcohol and needs treatment for same. Benzodiazepines are a class of medications which help in management of withdrawal symptoms. He needs them under consultation of a psychiatrist
