What Causes Palpitations At Night?
I was diagnosed with SVT when I was pregnant 5 years ago, but haven t had many flare ups since my son s birth. Now, on nights when I stay up late to work, my heart starts beating fast, even though I m not moving, just sitting down working on my laptop. Why does my heart beat fast (140-160 beats per minute) on nights when I get 3-4 hours of sleep?

This is probably relapse of SVT.
Palpitations with heart date going to 140 needs evaluations.
I would suggest that you should see your doctor and a heart tape to be sure what is causing your palpitation and how to help it.
