What Causes Palpitations During Intecourse?

During sexual intercourse with my wife the more involved and heated we get when I m about to climax shortly before that my heart is always feels like it s beating out of my chest which throws me off and I can t climax ... I am a male 24. With existing mitrovalve prolapse and I have valve regurgitation which I am being seen for currently . Should I refrain from sex ?

I can understand your concern.
Sexual intercourse is considered as heavy exertion.
Palpitations and chest discomfort at climax is suggestive of more about heart related disease.
You are already having valvular heart disease.
So better to consult cardiologist and get done 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test).
You may need valvular replacement if regurgitation is severe.
You should avoid sex or heavy duty exercises until this is sorted.
