What Causes Palpitations While On Carbimazole?

I have been on carbimazole for nearly 18 months. 3 days ago the consultant stopped my 5mg carb as I had 4 months readings within range. I have a multi nodular goitre ( largest nodule 0.9cm) is it normal to have heart racing feeling so soon? And what next?

Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Make sure that your hormonal status is within normal limits as hyperthyroidism can cause palpitations. You can go for a thyroid function test (TFT) also.

Serial ECG recordings can be utilised to rule out cardiac arrhythmia.
