What Causes Passage Of Thick Bubbles Of Mucus From The Nose?
I ve been occasionally having thick bubbles of mucus about 5mm diameter coming from what feels like the back of my nose. They seem to have a threadlike worm (white) in them. They are so thick I can pick them up from my mouth and pop them, like you pop bubble wrap. I ve also been getting headaches, which I don t usually get.
Understanding your concern. As per your query symptoms of thick bubbles of mucus from the nose which are pointing towards condition called sinusitis/post nasal drip because of bacterial infection. I would suggest you to take steam 2-3 times a day to relieve congestion. You can also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling. Drink plenty of fluid. For allergy take over the counter antihistamine drug. Give hot compresses to face ,do warm saline gargles and if you are allergic to penicillin then you can opt for amoxicillin. Consult ENT specialist (ear, nose ,throat) for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order blood test or X-ray.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
