What Causes Passage Of Wind Through Vagina After Undergoing An Abortion?

I had an elective abortion about 2 years ago, recently i noticed that I'm passing gas through both my vaginal canal and rectum. I had a my normal pap check up yesterday and voiced this to my gyno however It did not occur to me to mention my abortion since it's something I did'nt consider a traditional surgery. and now i'm REALLY embarrassed to go back to my healthcare provider to let them know about this. Is this cause to look further into my issue??
