What Causes Passing Blood After Gallbladder Removal?

I am a 42 year old female I just had my gallbladder removed a week ago today. I have noticed these last few days that I am passing blood. I am not straining to hve movements. I am staying away from all fatty foods and drinking a lot of water. What could be wrong?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM....

You are passing blood in stool...
First get your anal area examination with proctoscopy ....
It might reveal fissure , piles , proctitis like inflammation , or rectal ulcer....
If according to cause treatment given...
Meanwhile take more fruits and more water.
Hot water anal area sitz bath useful.
If constipation associated stool softener might given....

Second if above local causes not present then get your stool examination...

It might reveal pus cell that suggesting acute bacterial infection like entetocolitis or there might be shigellosis like infection.
For that antibiotic needed...

It might also can reveal eggs of parasites...
For which anthelmatic drug might needed.

Also get your CRP level estimation...

Hope your concern solved.
Take care.
