What Causes Passing Of Blood In Stool Despite Taking Imodium?

Last night about 2.30 am I had excruciating stomach pain with several bouts of small pooping, then I got sweaty and began to throw up, 3 times. About 7:30 am the nausea stopped but poop turned into diarrhea. With diarrhea it burned to poop and little blood I believe to be hemroids. I took imodium, this afternoon and I had a cup of hot tea. No pain this afternoon, trips to bathroom slowed, stomach little upset, no throwing up. Last time in the bathroom, little diarrhea that was bright red. Would that be due to irritated hemroids?
