What Causes Passing Of Sticky Stools Inspite Of Taking Imodium?

Hi,I have had direah and constipation for over a week and started taking Imodium and I am passing more solid but still mucusy stools, also the mucus is yellow and stringy, I get easily worried which triggers it to get worse, just wondering if it could be ibs,Thanks Scott

Well come to HCM
Imodium is not drug of choice here, this could cause paralytic ileus, this is not IBS, it seems a infection and bacterial infection is very likely, in my opinion condition can be well managed with "Tab Doxycycline 100 mg " once in day for 5 days, hope this information helps, take care.
