What Causes Passing Out And Dizziness After Having Sex?

I passed out after having sex but I have never done this before. The sex was no different than any I have had before. I went to relieve myself afterwards and suddenly felt dizzy. I woke up on the floor witha busted lip. I am a worried 33 year old male. I used to get faint when I played football back in highschool and never really understood why. what should I do?

Psychologist 's  Response
Hello,

For some, their breath becomes so rapid that they hyperventilate. When this happens, their brain does not receive enough oxygen, which may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or actually result in fainting. In any case, you should consult your doctor for a detailed check-up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand, Psychologist
