What Causes Pea-sized Hard Lump On The Inside Of Right Calf?

For the past two years I have a pea-sized hard lump on the inside of my right calf. It is painful when I try to massage it. I notice my legs and thighs have cellulite now and I am a the n woman who is activ. I don t have health insurance so I can not afford to see a doctor. Could this clot be causing my high blood pressure?

Hi,

Even though I can not make out what the lump is without examining, a hard lump which is painless and static in size for 2 years can not be anything serious.

May be an old area of infection/injury/subcutaneous fat necrosis that has undergone calcification.

Anyhow, this is not a clot, as a clot will not be hard and it can not last for 2 years. Also this can not be a cause of your high blood pressure.

I am not aware why you think you are having cellulitis. If you have a recent onset area of redness/edema/pain/tenderness there, this can be cellulitis that needs antibiotics and analgesics. In that cases, we will have to arrange an appointment with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
