What Causes Pea Sized Lump On Armpit?

I have some sort of pea sized lump on my armpit. I'm not sure if it is due to an ingrown hair or if it is something I should be more concerned about. I have also been experiencing a sore neck (in back) only when I turn my head to the left or right. I have not been sleeping on a bed for several months--instead sleeping on a sofa. So, should I be worried?
