What Causes Peeling Of Areola With Foul Smelling Discharge?

Hi im 26 yrs old and i just gave birth to my son 3 months ago. About 2 months ago my areola started peeling and a discharge with a fish like smell has been happening every day. My breast gets very itchy at times. Theres no soreness though. Please help me im very scared. Thank you.

Hi dear,
Keep the area clean and dry.
Clean with warm saline 4 to 6 times a day. Express milk from that breast rather than direct feeding for few days.
If these measures fails to control your symptoms, kindly see your doctor for a direct evaluation.
