What Causes Peeling Of Skin On The Inner Nostrils?

What would cause skin peeling on the inside of my nostrils? Both sides. It s painful and feels like tissue buildup that mabe shouldn t be there, some sores too that bleed if I mess with them. The skin looks like a thin layer and creates kind of a whitish line leading from the corner of the inside of the tip if the nose and extends all the way across both nostrils. I ve also got some flaking on the outside of the nose on the craves of both sides. I do suffer from psoriatic arthritis and other autoimmune issues, so wasn t sure if it s related, but it s painful and I wasn t sure the best way to treat it. Thanks for your help!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of peeling of skin on the inner nostrils which occurs where skin get irritated . They are generally harmless and do not bother. You should get it resolved because of esthetic purpose. It could occur due to hormonal changes , disease like diabetes and during extreme cold. Need not to worry. You should not remove r peel off skin by yourself because that can cause infection in them and make the condition complicated. So get them remove only under the expert. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist/ dermatologist for proper examination and to rule out other condition like wart or a mole. Doctor will do physically examination and may take skin from them for biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may order antibiotics along with antiinflammatory medications.
