What Causes Pelvic Pain?

I just recently i have been having pains around my pelvic area and i am 49 years old female. I have already done my pap smear and as far as i know i am ok. I am wondering if it might have something to do with premenopausing because my periods come off and on.

Hello,
At your age, it is common for the bone density to start dwindling unless you have taken timely precautions and this can cause pains in the bones and joints. Apart from this, urinary and pelvic infections are common owing to the thinning of the lining cells as menopause approaches. You should get regular follow up and take nutritional supplements after ruling out infections. Some amount of exercise helps ease bony pains and also delays the inevitable osteoporosis. Hope this helps.
