I have a cancer.prostate. I am 90 years old. I am bleeding through my penis each trip to urinate I need to stop bleeding on such a regular basis. My. Doc is a uoligist. Sp. . The Doc has examined me with a scope including my kidneys .he said he could not tell where the bleeding was coming from. My hyposhot that Medicare will let me have every 6 months is coming up in 15 days. This will be the second One for me. The cost is very high for me. So I will have to wait the time. ( insurance so called.) Give me your best guess or facts. My prostate was removed 20 years ago.
Penile bleeding may be due to urinary tract infection or renal stones or cystitis or prostatitis or bladder malignancy or nephritis etc.
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Urine examination for RBC morphology, urine culture and sensitivity, cystoscopy, ultrasound abdomen and renal biopsy in inconclusive cases. please consult your neurologist/urologist they will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
