Hello,

You are having penile discharge with negative HIV tests. You are also having burning sensation on urination. Such symptoms are commonly caused by UTI and sexually transmitted diseases. However, they can also be cause due to other medical conditions like prostatitis, urethritis, bladder issues, kidney stones, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a urologist and get the required imaging tests and urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done.

If UTI is detected, you will be treated with antibiotics and will be advised to maintain hygiene. Your treating doctor may recommend STD tests to detect STI. If reports are positive you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. In the meantime, avoid sex for a couple of days. Maintain hygiene (change all your clothes daily), avoid using public washrooms. Stay away from addictions if any. Avoid stress. Take adequate rest and stay well hydrated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
