What Causes Penile Discharge?

Hi, I have had penile discharge for a few days now, no other symptoms are present i.e no pain, discomfort, no burning sensation when urinating, no swollen glands or testicles etc, I havent had a sexual encounter for over a year and that was protected, just wondering what the issue could moat likely be?
