Here if your pain radiating to left arm or shoulder or to the back then ECG done to rule out cardiac cause like mainly ischemic heart disease.Here chance of it is less but suspected if above symptoms and sweating present.If ECG show changes then treated accordingly. Secondly your pain can be simple muscular pain by muscular strain.The cause could be heavy weight lifting or improper sleep posture or any unaccoustmed activity.Simple analgesic could be effective. Thirdly it could be costochondritis like condition.For that rest taken with ibuprofen like analgesic and antiinflammatory drug.Hot compress can be useful. Do you have gastric problems?? If acidity or acid reflux present then it can lead reffered pain in chest.Omeprazole taken for it. You will recover mostly within few days.
