What Causes Periods After Using Cerazette And Utovlan?

I have been prescribed Cerazette alongside Utovlan on days 5-25 of my cycle, but i forgot to stop taking it and so took it from days 5-27 however have not had a period since stopping 3 days ago. Why could this be? And could I have just kept taking the utovlan on each day of my cycle so as to avoid a period altogether?

Hello,

It can take 5 - 7 days after discontinuing Utovlan for the period to resume. You will likely get your period in the next 2 or 3 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
