What Causes Periods Soon After The Previous On Having Sex?

I stopped my period a few days ago. I had sex this morning and now it s like I m having a second period. I m not sure if the sex had anything to do with it but do you know what it could be? Before my period I spotted a few days early. I should not be bleeding right now. What do you think it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There can be many reasons and only way to find out is physical examination or may be test to find out exact cause. Yes, it could be your ongoing period, infection, sometimes simple vaginal dryness or least likely trauma. In your case, it is most likely periods, but still, you need a gynecologist's point of view. Be hydrated. Use lubricants. Avoid aggressive sexual activity. Use condoms. Listen to music and sing. Also harmonize the endocrine system.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
