What Causes Persistence Pain In Chest And Back After Exercise ?

Doctor,I am 50 year old man. 2 weeks back I got pull on my left chest region while doing morning exercise. I experienced pain on my upper left rib cage and on the back. Sometime it radiates around my chest area. I consulted chest specialist who took ECG and X ray and told me it is normal. He prescribed Aceclofenac + Paracetamol and multivitamin tablets. But the pain still persists. If I try to stretch my arms it is paining and takes more than 8 hours to reduce. I am taking Seloken-50 XL in the night for my BP.What could be the reason and how to get rid of the pain. Please help me.Krishna

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have you have pain in chest and back after exercise , which is not getting better after taking medicine . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query but it seems to me that there can be two probable reasons responsible :-

- First it occur due to muscle spasm or stain due to hard exercise or exercise after long gap .

- Secondly it can be due to cardiac problem .

I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon if your are not getting benefited with medicine . Doctor will take history , as you to do few movements and order X-ray to look for any compresses fracture . Doctor may treat you according to diagnosis or may refer you to cardiologist . For now do physical therapy of chest and back 2-3 times a day and take proper rest .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.
