What Causes Persistent Back Pain Despite Taking Medications?

I have been suffering from a pinched nerve in my back and sciatica on my right side for over a year every day. I am in sever pain everyday all day. I am on pain medication and have tried several back injections and physical therapy but I still suffer. I am a overweight and was wonder if loosing a significant amount of weight would make the pain go away and what other options should I consider now.

Weight loss will definitely help relieve the pressure on the back. Start a weight reduction diet. Continue physiotherapy and pain killers. Consider lower back brace for back support.
