What Causes Persistent Bleeding Between Periods?

I have continuous bleeding in between my periods since past 3 years. The problem started before i had had sex. TVS and Sonography reveal nothing. Pap smear reveals an infection but not related to bleeding (cause of white discharge), Doctor has advised me cansoft but I am bleeding so it comes out not sure if i should continue taking the medicine? pls help!
