What Causes Persistent Bleeding During Menstruation?

hi, i have been bleeding for approx. 5 weeks now and during that time i have had 2 full blown periods and just started another one. Between those periods, i have continued to spot every day. i have recently had a pap (i was not bleeding at that moment) and an ultrasound. results for pap were samples were unusable and the ultrasound showed an enlarged uterus and a 3.8cm cyst on right ovary. left ovary was not able to be seen? WHAT DO I DO??? help please
