What Causes Persistent Bleeding From The Tongue?

My girlfriends tongue started bleeding during dinner, for 2 hours now. Its the lingual pappilae i think. She does have allergies but with 30 minutes of pressure the bleeding hasnt subsided or slowed. Shes 42 and recently received a good issue free checkup. Any ideas?

I really appreciate your concern for your friend, such bleeding of tongue could be due to tongue bite during chewing and this is very common phenomenon if the laceration big then this may need surgical repair else this would be fine with the gentle pressure, hope this information helps, take care.
