Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Breathing Difficulty And Dizziness?
I ve had blood clots but was recently taken off eliquis as doctors said no history or heredity relating to them but now I m having a difficult time breathing and have been dizzy all week. I don t have chest pains. Is it safe to wait and call my cardiologist in the morning?
Persistent breathing difficulty with dizziness in a person with history of blood clots may pause a threat of pulmonary embolism or other respiratory tract related involvement. I would recommend to call 911 without delay as many times, without immediate intervention, you may get permanent changes in your brain as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
