What Causes Persistent Brown Vaginal Discharge?

Hello, i am currently on the pill which gives me my period every 3 months and i have literally been having brown discharge every day for the past 4 weeks. Maybe longer. I was out of town for 3 weeks when it started. One day i spotted some blood so i figured it was about time for my period but it only spotted once, and then once about 2 days later and ever since then i have had to wear a panty liner every day because i can not stop discharging, and my actual period still hasnt came yet, just the discharge. Please help i hate this!!

I really appreciate your concern, because of irregular menses for long time such unusual discharge may be likely and if this is long lasting and happens all along the way then it may need some treatment may be some surgical intervention and for this better to have a word with gynecologist, hope this helps, take care and have a nice day.
