Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent burning smell in the nose which can occur due to many reasons like allergic rhinitis, chemical burn, facial nerve trauma, allergy to cream or lotion, and cold. It could be olfactory hallucination as well.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order nasal endoscopy, throat swab test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe proper course of antibiotics for rapid recovery. Avoid itching and pricking nose with any sharp object. For now do warm saline nasal rinses.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
