What Causes Persistent Chest Congestion With Mucus?

i have chest congestion in the morning & then in the after noon it goes away. Even i have mucus in the morning but it disappear in the evening & i feel like i am all fine but whe i wake up its back again. i tried robutusson & other cough products.. Any help please ??

Hello,

It may be due to bronchitis.

Still for further assessment you may require complete hemogram, chest x ray, sputum culture pulmonary function test after chest physician consultation.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

You may require antibiotics after consultation

Continue saline or betadine gargles twice a day.

Continue deep breathing exercises.

Avoid smoking if you have it
