What Causes Persistent Chest Discomfort And Headaches While Having MS?

Last Wednesday, I went from normal blood pressure to 194/111 and was taken to the hospital. EKG was normal. I have MS, but have not been on medications in over 5 years. Symptoms that have been constant for about 6-8 weeks include: chest discomfort that extends into my neck ; headaches (mostly in temple); weakness; and blurred vision. I also have chronic ache/discomfort/tingling in right leg. A couple of days ago, I started hurting in the middle to lower portion of back (kidney area). I am not diabetic. I would appreciate your thoughts on what this all may mean.

Hi,

There have been many studies that have proven that High blood pressure leads to worsen the condition of MS. Having control over BP through medication is needed immensely to prevent any untoward medical event. Getting suggestions for treatment of MS from a cardiologist is always advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
