General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it is due to conditions like severe acid reflux.

We have to rule out other possible causes like neuromuscular diseases also.

As a first step you can take antacids like pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a gastroenterologist and plan for an endoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
