What Causes Persistent Cold, Sneezing And Pain In The Chest?
Hi. I am a 32 year old female currently suffering from a head cold. I have had lots of stuffiness and head congestion with sneezing. Since yesterday my sneezes have been accompanied by sharp chest pains that radiate from underneath one armpit, across my upper chest, to underneath the opposite armpit. I also feel sharp pains in random spots along my back when this occurs. Is the chest pain a sign of more serious illness than a cold?
Hi Lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI), while often used as a synonym for pneumonia, can also be applied to other types of infection including lung abscess and acute bronchitis. Symptoms include chest pain and heaviness. As you are giving a histoty of cold yours is a case of LRTI, get a x ray chest PA view done and start broad spectrum antibiotic therapy with antinflammatory drugs for 5 days, a expectorant can also be added by treating doctor, its respiratory tract infection and will resolve in 5 days thank you
