What Causes Persistent Constipation Problems Post Tummy Tuck?

I had a tummy tuck on 4/28/16 and had never had any constipation issues if anything I went too often. Since then I have had to take stool softeners or laxatives. I have been taking extra fiber, drinking lots of water, prune juice and can t get this to resolve unless medication is taken. I had an x-ray taken of my stomach and was told everything looked fine there was just stool present.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to constipation. I see that you have already taken medications to treat this medical condition.

So, I would recommend manual disimpaction to treat the constipation. You should go at the emergency room for this procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
