What Causes Persistent Delay In Periods While Having High WBC Level In Body?

My 42-y/o sister has not had her period for a few months. She is not sexually active. She had an ultrasound done by her gynecologist and they called and said something was wrong, but didn t say what. She is having a biopsy on Monday. Last week, she went to her family doc for a check on her thyroid and they did bloodwork to see if that could be part of the issue. Her white blood count is really high. What could this indicate?
