What Causes Persistent Discomfort In The Chest?

Hey there! I ve been experiencing this weird feeling in chest for week now. There is no pain just feels weird. It makes me constantly want to check and see if my heart is pumping. Not sure if it is me over reacting or what. I received sharp pains maybe once or twice within the days. Please and thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to acid reflux. But better to have an ecg examination to rule out any problems relating to heart. For acid reflux taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) for 2 weeks will be helpful. Avoid spicy, fried and fatty foods. Carbonated drinks and coffee should be avoided also. Have food at least two hours before bed time. Also elevate the head end little more with pillows while sleeping. These measures will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
