What Causes Persistent Ear Bleed With Loss Of Hearing?

I'm bleeding from my left ear since Thursday night, no pain and no other symptoms. Went to ER yesterday AM. They were unable to visualize my eardrum even after irrigation so they treated it like a ruptured eardrum and prescribed ciprodex. Still bleeding today, also have hearing loss. should I be concerned?
