What Causes Persistent Ear Pain?

Ear pain with feeling similar to unable to pop ears during plane flight - moderate pain level - had it about 5 weeks - thought it was just allergy season-related - pain was originally intermittant but now constant - gets very slightly better when i take Claritin - sometimes feel the pain from ear to just under jawline - have an ENT appointment 9 days from now. Do I need to see a doctor earlier than that or should i just wait and deal with pain via OTC meds?

Good day and thank you for posting this question. I will suggest you wait till you see your doctor. For now you can take Acetaminophen for the pain.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
