General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

It is common for post-operative patients to catch viral infection. It is clinically manifested with fever non more than 38 degrees.
It might last as long as 10 days or a couple of weeks as immunity is weakened by surgery.

You should consider yourself lucky not to have complications with surgery site.
Increase fluids intake. Vitamin supplementation can help.
Keep regular follow up with your surgeon to check the operation site for possible complications/infection.

Wish fast recovery.
