What Causes Persistent Fever Inspite Of Giving Roxid In Children?

my son is having fever with tonsils. the Dr has prescribed him paracetemol 300mg and ROXID 150.fever is not coming down even if it comes down it come down for an hour. He is vomiting after having some liquid. shall i change the fever medicine to imol syrup for fever?

hello welcome to HCM. Imol syrup is also paracetamol . Fever is due to infection of tonsils. The infection should come down. It takes minimum 3 days to settle down and after that you can expect decrease in temp. Please get salt water gargling 3-4 times a day,which has antiseptic effect and act directly on tonsil. If the temperature shoots up more than 100, please do sponzing with lucid water. Take care.
