What Causes Persistent Groin And Muscle Pain?

I had an MRI do to ongoing persistent right groin pain and inability to walk properly following months of physical therapy after a car accident. It said I have a moderate-sized joint effusion and mild chondromalacia. i have not had symptoms in my hip per say but in the muscles of the inner groin. The groin MRI showed no muscle tears or inguinal hernia.
