What Causes Persistent Headache And High WBC Count While Treating Abscess Skin?
I am using propysalic nf ointment for skin problems. It s very nice result for inches, dry skin. Now a days I use last 10 days continue ointment but didn t control eczema spots but develop many abscess near skin area and headache and blood count high 17000 than Am consult family doctor and take antibiotics injections. Now it will control. Abscess gone, wbc balance but head ache till. What is required care for future?
As the abscesses have resolved and WBC count is normal back, we need not worry. It is common to have some headache/loss of energy/poor appetite for few days after recovering from an infection. Just take simple analgesics like paracetamol or ibuprofen if severe, for 3 days (2-3 times a day after food).
Drink plenty of fluids (dehydration exacerbates headache) and have a soft, healthy diet. If headache persists beyond 3 days of these measures, your doctor will guide in further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
