What Causes Persistent Headaches And Cough Despite Taking Antibiotics?

Hello, my husband has been sick for about a week. Coughing, head ache and fever blisters all around his mouth and sores in his ear. the Dr. said that he had hand foot and mouth disease. The pictures on here look like nothing his mouth looks like. he was on an antibiotic but doesn t seem to have helped, any suggestions?
