What Causes Persistent Headaches?

A friend has been tattoo on her head to hide bald spots. She has gone in 3 times over the last month. About 2 weeks ago she got a headache which has never gone away. Over the last 2 days the headache has become debilitating. She did go to the ER today and they did a cat scan and didn t see anything, but she did not mention the tattoos. I m wondering if there might be a connection. She can hardly move.
