What Causes Persistent Heel Pain In Both Foot?

I have a pain when I walk in both heals of my feet, mainly on my right foot. It feels like a bruise but it has be with me for several months. Once I start walking (kind of like getting a muscle loosen up) the pain will subside but once I sit for a while or sleep overnight it is difficult to take that first step in the morning. Again, the pain feels like a bruise because there is not a constant pain and I m really not aware of it during the day but after resting for a while then it s painful for the first several steps. Sometimes this pain will last until noon but only when I walk. I can push around the heal area with my hand and feel no pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
according to your descrption it looks like you are suffering from an inflammatory condition in fat pad of your heel which is called plantar fasicitis. so meet your family physician or rheumatologist. he or she may give an injection called depomedrol to your heel which can reduce your symptoms. but this condition can recur time to time.
