What Causes Persistent Itching In Ears And Sore Throat Despite Taking Allegra And Nasonex?

I have been fighting sinus problems for around four weeks. Symptoms are burning and itching of my ears, sinus pressure and congestion, soar throat. I have had a steroid shot two weeks ago along with a five day antibiotic, Allegra D, and Nasonex. I am still using the Allegra and Nasonex but am still having the bad ears and throat. Should I go back to the Dr.?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your problem can be most likely upper respiratory tract infection. Antibiotics will be required in such case. I would suggest antibiotics like Co-Amoxiclav in such case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
