Hi, I ve had pain on my left side for about 4 days now. It began on the left side of my breast and spread to my armpit and my left arm. I am also having pain at the back of my left shoulder. I don t have any other symptoms. No chest pain or shortness of breath. What could this possibly be?

Hello,

In my opinion, your symptoms can be due to some kind of neurological issues or musculoskeletal issue. If you have done self-breast examination and if there is no lump or swelling inside the breast tissue, then please seek opinion of your treating physician.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for analgesic like Paracetamol as needed for pain and use of Folic acid and vitamin B 12 supplements regularly might be of help.

If you feel any palpable lump in the breast and or armpit, then USG breast or mammography is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
