General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are some viral infections or autoimmune conditions eg GB syndrome, that can affect the spine and ability to function.

In most cases, these changes are temporary but you need blood tests to see one of these is a possible cause. Complete blood count and an autoimmune screen may be needed for diagnosis.

You may want to consider seeing a rheumatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
